Food Scanner

Snap your food. Know what's in it.

Point your camera at a meal, a nutrition label or a barcode. Food Scanner works out what is on the plate, roughly how much, the calories and nutrients, and what the ingredients are for — in your language.

How it works

  1. Snap anythingA plate, a packet's nutrition table, its ingredients list or its barcode. The app tells which it is.
  2. AI works out what's thereA meal photo is sent as a small picture and not kept; a label is read on your phone and only its text is sent. Calories come from food composition databases (Korea MFDS, USDA) times the estimated portion, or straight from the label when there is one.
  3. Every number says where it came fromThe label, a food database, or an AI estimate — with estimates shown as ranges. Fix a portion or add a hint, and it recalculates.
  4. What matters to you comes firstTell it what you watch — blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, allergies, goals. Those settings stay on your phone, and only change what is shown first.

What it will not do

Food Scanner does not score your food, give it a health grade, or tell you not to eat something. A photo can't see the oil in the pan or the sugar in the sauce, so a confident verdict would be a guess dressed up as advice.

It will also never tell you an allergen is absent — only that one is declared, or looks visible. What it does instead is show you what it can see, what it had to estimate, and where the evidence runs out.
